What Should I Get Engraved On My Trophy?

The Basics

Almost any award will be engraved with the name of the recipient, who is giving the award, the reason the person is receiving the award and the date. If you include this information, you should have enough for an inscription for any type of award. But if you want to make your inscription something special, you can include more text.

Examples of additional text to include on a trophy includes:

• Sports award: You can include the name of the player, the team, the league and the year. If the award is for a special performance, such as “most improved”, you could add the title. You could even include the jersey number or position of the player for a more personalised touch.

• Employee Acknowledgement : Including your company name, a title (like “Employee of the Year”), and any additional acknowledgements can make your employees feel special and valued.
• Gratitude to a Sponsor : Along with the recipient’s name and the date, any gratitude awards could include a few words acknowledging their efforts, along with a quote or a fun quip. Text such as “In recognition of your kind support” can be a great way of acknowledging your valued donors or sponsors.
• Acknowledgement of service : Along with the basics, why not add a title or words such as, “Outstanding Service Award”, or “For your years of dedication and service”. Including the organisational name and the relevant dates can be a great addition to your inscription.
